On the occasion of the Open Days Anci Ideali will promote the "Città Ideali Competition", which will give the local european administrators the opportunity to win brief stays in the Cities of the Foundation.  May 22-23, Brussels > STREAM CITIES took part to the general meeting of the Med-Pact projects
8 of the 9 delegations of the ongoing projects attended the meeting, organized by the European Commission DG AIDCO and the Med-Pact Technical Assistance. Each delegation presented the current situation of the project, how it is developing and the problems and difficulties that came up during its realisation. The meeting also contributed to build up new potential synergies within the presented projects and also for the future ones

ANCI IDEALI has drafted a document that addresses the themes included in the open consultation of the European Commission on the revision of the future EU budget (post 2013). ANCI IDEALI has already sent the document to the partner cities. Cities are encouraged to propose modifications and amendments. This first draft will be transmitted to the Commission on April 15.

The opinion presented by the Mayor of Candela, Savino Santarella, on the future single European asylum policy, has been adopted by the Plenary Session of the Committee of the Regions

April 9, Brussels> ANCI IDEALI supports the Cities of the Foundation providing information and expertise on European projects
The Projects team of the Foundation monitors and selects new calls for proposals for the cities and fosters their international partnership in the most relevant ones

April 4, Brussels> Open Days, the proposal of ANCI IDEALI has been approved
Three Cities and six Regions, leaded by Genoa, will attend the Open Days with the network Creative Cohesion. Also Rome and Calabria Region will participate on the Italian side. “To invest in the future, potentialities and challenges of the new territorial cohesion” is the title of the conference that will be held on 8th October and organized by the Network. 

March 13, Brussels > Anci Ideali become partner of the Sustainable Energy Europe 2005-2008 Campaign with the project "Giving new Energy to Italian cities and citizens"
The project on energy saving and sustainability, presented by the Foundation to the European Commission, has been approved.

March 20, Naples > Anci Ideali presents European urban best practices to Campanian cities
Mayors and town councillors involved into the debate on the development of Italian cities followed to the presentation of the book "Buone prassi, buone notizie", edited by the Foundation. The meeting has been organised also by Mezzogiorno Europa Foundation, Rubbettino Foundation and the European Federalist Movement.

April 1-3, Brussels > Tourism and Lisbon’s Strategy, first meetings of the two Work committees
Mayors and town councillors of the work committee Culture and Tourism will take part in the European Parliament to a meeting about tourism, together with the others partners of the Ceep platform. The European Commission will host the kick-off meeting of the work committee Innovation, growth and employment, that will start a strong cooperation with the Committee of the Regions to foster urban competitiveness.

Members cities of the Foundation have sent to the Commission their proposals to improve urban mobility in European cities

January, Brussels > "Good practice, good news": Rubbettino publishes the best practices collected by Anci Ideali
The press office of the Foundation presents the best urban development experiences realised last year in Europe. The Mayor of Florence and President of Anci Leonardo Domenici has apprecietied this work, that include the preface of the MEP Jean Marie Beaupuy, President of the Urban Integroup into the EP.
